[M-OOM] Alderaan

It was night by the time that Revan walked out of the shop, the ring chosen, bought, and pocketed, and the streets of Aldera were alive with activity. A cool night breeze came from the lake and conversation floated from the several eateries that lined the boardwalk while soft music came from the gallery across the street that was holding a gala to unveil new art.
Revan started to weave his way through the light crowd before he stopped, pausing mid-step before where the blaster bolt would have cut through him, thanking the Force for the warning. It had scorched the pavement instead, sending people screaming and scrambling for cover. A sniper rifle, and from the lay of the mark the direction it had come from was...
Revan whirled toward the adjoining building, deflecting another shot with his lightsaber as it came from an upper window. With a burst of speed from the Force, he dodged toward the opening of the building, scattering some of the patrons that had been hiding in the alcove. It was an eatery with low-income apartments in the upper levels and he took the stairs two at a time toward where the assassin was.
Not sensing any traps in the room beyond or on the door itself, and the presence of the assassin moving off, Revan burst into the room. He was right about the assassin escaping, the hooded figure pausing only long enough to toss a low-grade thermal detonator back into the room before dropping out the window.
Revan whirled back into the hall, crouching and pressing against the wall as the explosion hit, shaking the building. He waited long enough for the wave to clear before he ran back into the room, debris still falling from the ceiling from structual disruption.
The detonation had taken off most of the front façade of the building; there was a hole in the room where the window had been in and some of the debris had fallen, catching the people in the streets.
Revan stepped up to hole, peering out of it. He could feel the agony of those hurt below through the Force and the assassin was limping off once more, boarding a speeder and taking off further down the boardwalk.
Deactivating his lightsaber, Revan snapped open his comm unit. He felt no danger of Kira being a target, but he sent a warning to the Hawk just in case before he dropped down through the hole, landing safely from the sixth floor fall with the help of the Force.
An investigation would have to wait, he figured, as he turned to helping people.
