By the time Revan and Kira got back to the Hawk, Ranthus having to return to duty later that night, Ellia and Kaelyn were fast asleep. It was a long day for the little ones, after all. So they were promptly tucked into their makeshift cribs and bestowed kisses and good-nights.

Revan, on the other hand, is not tired at all. Nor very talkative either. It was a long day for him too. Instead, after the girls are all settled in, he heads off without a word. He eventually ends up in the main compartment, looking over the navigational charts with a frown.

His mind is not really on planning a route home though.

"You'd tell me if you were, right?"

She nods. "I...hope so." She shrugs. "I just...hope that if I ever do feel bitter, I'll just get over it."

"He can be your family too, y'know," Revan murmurs after some moments. That is, if he decides to keep in contact with Ranthus after this. "I know it's not the same, but..."

"You're my family." She shakes her head. "And he could be, but for now, I'm fine with you and the girls."

But, so, where does that leave his dad? Revan frowns once more.

She smiles softly and strokes his cheek. "Maybe you should sleep on it."

"Well if you're not going to give me any advice," he says, wrapping his arms around her once more, "you can at least help me fall asleep then."

"I think the med bay has sleeping pills..."

And for that, she gets another pinch.
