[M-OOM] The Ebon Hawk

By the time Revan and Kira got back to the Hawk, Ranthus having to return to duty later that night, Ellia and Kaelyn were fast asleep. It was a long day for the little ones, after all. So they were promptly tucked into their makeshift cribs and bestowed kisses and good-nights.

Revan, on the other hand, is not tired at all. Nor very talkative either. It was a long day for him too. Instead, after the girls are all settled in, he heads off without a word. He eventually ends up in the main compartment, looking over the navigational charts with a frown.

His mind is not really on planning a route home though.

She kisses him again, quickly. "No more scowling now."

"No? Alright." His scowl easily morphs into a smile once more and he kisses her again for the sake of it.

She happily kisses him back, standing on her tiptoes a bit.

He pushes her back against the nearest panel, deepening the kiss, only to pull back after so long to ask: "Did you really think he was nice?"

It might seem like a question that comes out of nowhere, but it has been on his mind all night.

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 11:16 am (UTC)(link)
She knows how he works, so while the question doesn't register at first (she's just been pinned against a panel, thanks), it doesn't suprise her.

Kira takes the moment to make sure she's not depressing any buttons before answering. "Yes, I really did."

[identity profile] organicmeatbag.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"Y'know, when you were getting the girls ready to leave?" He splays a hand at the small of her back, fingers twisting in the hem of her shirt. "He told me he regretted not fighting the Jedi. For me to stay with him, I mean."

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Her fingers curl into his shirt and she smiles softly. "Well. Look at that. That's a good thing, you know."

[identity profile] organicmeatbag.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"It could mean any number of things." Or Revan might just be over thinking it. "I told him it was better that I had gone. He didn't seem to think so though."

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"You're overthinking," She sighs, pushing hair out of her face. "It could be that he really does regret it; regret having you be in his life."

[identity profile] organicmeatbag.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
He grunts before sidling closer, burying his face against her neck. "I don't like the word regret. It implies too much," he murmurs, as though she didn't already know he thought that.

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
She shivers slightly, her fingers tightening in his shirt a bit. "I know, dear. I know."

[identity profile] organicmeatbag.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
He sighs, pressing his lips to her neck. "What should I do?" he asks, not saying, but wording the question against her skin.

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
She scoots back a little, taking his face in his hands and away from her neck. She smiles softly before kissing him again.

She's not going to answer that question...he needs to do what he thinks he should do.

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"You," She sighs, pulling back to cross her arms. "Need to do what you think is right. What your heart is telling you?"

[identity profile] organicmeatbag.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's telling me to listen to what you have to say about the matter?"

He smiles.

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
She shakes her head. "Nope, I'm not figuring this out for you. This is your father...not mine. You've got to figure it out, sweetie."

[identity profile] organicmeatbag.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
"Traitor," he mutters, lovingly though, resting his forehead against hers.

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, when my parents raise from the dead and zombie around, I'll let you tell me the same thing, when I ask if I should accept their newfound hobby for eating brains."

[identity profile] organicmeatbag.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
He pulls back to eye her, not knowing whether to laugh at that or not.

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
She smiles.

"I'm kidding."

[identity profile] organicmeatbag.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"About the zombies, I should hope so," he says, returning a small smile. "I was just wondering if there was any underlying bitterness there."

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't even remember them." She shrugs. "I'm not bitter."

Maybe a little bittersweet.

[identity profile] organicmeatbag.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"You'd tell me if you were, right?"

[identity profile] jedi-exile.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
She nods. "I...hope so." She shrugs. "I just...hope that if I ever do feel bitter, I'll just get over it."
