His unease continued to grow until it was hanging around him like a dark cloud, probably visible through even the hologram projection. He stamped it away though, clearing his throat, and he was his (somewhat) confident self once more.
Eyebrows raised, he tossed the question back to her: "Why did I call? Perhaps because it's been two months and you've not returned any of my messages. Or because I missed you and I needed to."
Both true, and there were so many more reasons too.
