[OOC] Milliways Fiction

Revan had wanted it to work with Bastila, more than he would let anyone ever know, but it had not worked, no matter how he tried, and there were times he wondered if he was capable of loving another because of it. He wondered this even as he whispered the words to Kira, above all when they were twisted and not quite the exact words, he wondered at them, thinking to himself if he meant them or not.

It was not a brooding or melancholic thought that took hold of him, but a general wondering of what love was other than caring for someone. Why it had not worked then, he wondered, and why it was he had been able to walk away from the woman he was supposed to be with, the one who had ultimately saved him from himself, and who was the better for him. Bastila was the logical option, there was no doubt.

Yet he made the illogical choice: the woman that spoke of not tying him down, even though, when it came to her, he wanted to be tethered; that had driven him to madness on more than one occasion; and who, no matter how hard he tried to believe it, was not the better person for him overall.

And perhaps that was the answer he sought: that love was not logical; that it was blind, but blind to logic and thought. It was not always about what was right for you or what made sense, but what you wanted.

And Revan wanted Kira.
